Brake Repairing

Brake Services

Brakes are an extremely important part of every car. Each day, people press on their brake pedals dozens, if not hundreds of times and expect it to work every single time. The pedal controls the brake pads, which are important safety features responsible for stopping a car that can weigh tons.

Because of friction and the heat produced during braking, these parts tend to be one of the quickest to go. It is important to have your brakes inspected. Should you notice any problems with brakes, it is important to have them repaired immediately.

Brake Inspection

Our mechanics will perform a full inspection of your car’s brake system. After this, we will recommend the appropriate course of action. There can include the following:

Brake Pad Inspection:

Brake pads are responsible for slowing the vehicle to a stop. They do this by pressing against the side of the disc or rotor.

Disc Inspection:

Discs or rotors are necessary to slowing down your car, much like the brake pads. When we inspect rotors, we look for signs of warping, damage or general spots that stand out. We want to see shiny discs that have little signs of wear and tear. Resurfacing or replacement is necessary for discs that are damaged. We don’t take chances with the braking system of a car. If something seems out of place, we make sure its repaired immediately.

Brake Lines:

The main issues we encounter with brake lines are corrosion, cracks or stiffening. Taking preemptive action when it comes to brake lines usually saves you more in the long run. If we notice any signs of wear here, we will immediately work towards fixing the problem.

Fluid Exchange For Brakes

Hydraulic fluid is responsible for applying pressure to brakes that slows your vehicle. Much like many other parts of the car, these components will begin to wear down over time. Air and moisture will eventually have a negative impact on the performance of this fluid.

During our inspection, we check to see whether or not brake fluids need to be replaced. Again, we strictly follow manufacturer guidelines when removing and replacing fluid for your car. German models in particular need lots of care, so we make sure that everything is done by the books.
